Before you start

  • Anyone on your store's team can do this.
  • Plans: All plans. Credits: None.

These are Shopify’s limits, set by your Shopify plan, not by Launch Desk.

  • A video in the Description or in Product images is one upload. In both places it’s two.
  • On Product pages, the Shopify video uploads card shows this week’s uploads by Launch Desk and how many videos your Shopify plan holds.
  • Choosing Product images and description asks you to confirm, since it uses two uploads per product. With 250 videos, that’s about 125 products with both, or 250 with the description only.

When a limit is reached, the product shows Needs attention (or Weekly limit reached on Publish), and you can add it again after the reset.

Tips and limits

LimitVideos a store holds: 250 on Basic, 1,000 on Shopify, 5,000 on Advanced, more on Plus.
LimitUploads each week: 1,000 (10 on development stores).
LimitYour own videos on Shopify count too.

If something goes wrong

Weekly limit reached

Shopify lets the store upload more after its week resets. Meanwhile, the video can still be posted on social media.
