The challenge: a whole wave at once
Collectibles don't arrive one at a time. A new series lands as a wave of figures announced together, and fans pre-order fast. Each figure needs a listing with the details collectors search for (series, number, exclusives, box details), a photo that stands out, and a post, all before the pre-order window closes.
Done by hand, that meant copying details from supplier pages, editing photos one by one, writing every description and making each post separately, and the store's look changed from product to product.
What DrCollectible does with Launch Desk
- Listings in one batch. A wave is added from supplier links. Each title, description, SEO title and alt text is written in DrCollectible's voice and uploaded to Shopify as a draft for review.
- One themed look for every figure. Each figure's real photo is placed in the store's own scene: a neon-lit collector's shop with the DrCollectible logo. The figure and its box are never redrawn, which matters for licensed characters.
- Drop-day posts. Captions, posts and Stories are prepared and scheduled for Instagram, with pre-order captions for pre-order figures.
- Videos. Studio images become short vertical videos, and presenter Reels announce pre-orders. When an AI video service declines a licensed character, the store posts the studio image instead.
