Install and pick a plan
Install Launch Desk from the Shopify App Store, choose a plan on Shopify, then answer a few setup questions. About five minutes.

Before you start
- You need to be the store's owner in Launch Desk (staff can't do this).
- A Shopify store, and to be its owner (or have permission to install apps)
- Plans: All plans. Credits: None. Starter and Basic begin with a 7-day free trial.
Steps
- Find Launch Desk in the Shopify App Store and press Install. Shopify shows what the app can access; approve it.
- Launch Desk opens on Plan & billing. Press Choose a plan. Shopify shows the plans and asks you to approve the charge, then brings you back.
- Back in Launch Desk, you’ll see Your plan is now with the plan’s name. Charges appear on your Shopify bill.
- A short setup starts (about 3 minutes): your store’s name and logo, what you sell, how you list products, where products come from, your writing style and your studio look. Growth and Pro also pick avatars, and Pro picks models if you sell clothing or shoes. Then you can connect Instagram, or do it later.
- At You’re all set, choose what to do first: Create posts for products already in your store, or Add New Product.
If you stop halfway, the setup picks up where you left off next time, on any device.

Prices are in US dollars, and Shopify adds tax where it applies. When something in your plan runs out, an owner can allow extras up to a monthly limit, or add a credit pack to pay ahead. See What uses credits.
Change your plan later
Open Plan & billing and press Change plan. Shopify shows the plans and asks you to approve the new one.
Tips and limits
If something goes wrong
Your plan still shows … If you approved the plan on Shopify, it can take a moment to come through: click Refresh.
Shopify sometimes takes a few seconds to confirm a new plan. Press Refresh in Plan & billing.
… hasn't chosen a Launch Desk plan yet.
Staff see this until an owner chooses a plan. Ask a store owner to open Launch Desk and choose one in Plan & billing, then press Check again.
